Target to end vaccination of adults before children
Vaccines have started coming for children to protect against the coronavirus, but the government still wants to make vaccination of adults a priority. The Health Ministry official said that so far more than 97 crore vaccinations have been done in the country. There are about 300 million people who have not received a single dose of the vaccine. In such a situation, if the vaccination of children also starts, then there will be a situation like disorientation.
Due to this fact, at least 90 to 95 percent of the single dose will be waiting to be vaccinated. Immunization committee sources say adults are the first to participate in finishing vaccinations. Because of this, preparations related to vaccination of children are going on but priority is not being given to speed up the process further.
