The main goal of the program is to provide the best convenience to students studying in Madrasas or government schools. The pandemic has caused students to be without access to classrooms, but classes online were a method to keep them interested. However, not every student has access to technology. The eligibility criteria for applying in the WB Free tablet scheme
Only those students who meet the following criteria for eligibility are eligible to receive tablets for free:
- The applicant must reside in West Bengal.
- The student must be at a government schools or Madrasa.
- The student must be for class XII.
- The annual earnings of the family members of the recipient should not exceed the amount of Rs. 2 Lakh per annum , derived from all sources.
- The student must have passed all previous tests.
Documents required to apply for West Bengal Tablet Scheme
A person applying for benefits must possess the following documents in order to be eligible for the benefits of this plan
- Photograph of passport size that is of the child in the correct size and format.
- Digitally scanned or scanned that of the person who is the subject.
- Mobile number for the registration details that are generated on.
- Aadhar card as ID Proof.
- The student’s school ID card to verify the institution of study and the level.
- Residence Certificate to verify the existence of a residency within the country.

Application Procedure for WB Free tablet Youjana
Since the announcement, there has been no information has been released regarding the application process. Students can regularly go to the web pages of the West Bengal Government and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education to see if there are any changes.
However, if the application process is online, a news portal or a portal linked to the mentioned websites will be established. In accordance with the procedure of the majority of web portals operated by the Bengal government, the applicant must sign up through the portal to gain access to login details for the portal. The student must sign on to the site and complete the application form. They must upload the required documents. If the student is successful in submitting the completed application, a live government society will conduct the verification process of the application. The operation of the scheme is also contingent on the authenticity of the applicant.
